Finn is a director and writer based in London and working internationally. He was the winner of the 2015 Genesis Future Directors Award at the Young Vic, as part of which he directed Man: 3 Plays by Tennessee Williams which sold out in the Clare theatre. He held the 2015 Lina Bo Bardi Fellowship, granted by the British Council, Sesc São Paulo and the Instituto Lina Bo e P.M. Bardi, for research into the eponymous Italo-Brazilian architect and contemporary Brazilian theatre. In 2016 he has been the recipient of a grant through the Artists’ International Development Fund at ACE, to enable collaboration with singer Lucia Lucas in Germany and the UK.
In 2014 he wrote, directed and designed a new music theatre work for the London Sinfonietta with composer Gavin Higgins, and in 2014-15 he was a director/librettist on the Jerwood Opera Writing Programme at Aldeburgh Music. Finn has since been commissioned with composer Santa Bušs to write a new opera for Jaunie Latvijas Kamermūziķi in Saulkrasti, Latvia. He is also preparing a new work as writer/director for the CETC at Teatro Colón, Buenos Aires for 2017/18. Finn is a member of Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab in New York.
